[av_one_half]Xelena González is a screenwriter, essayist, poet, & author of All Around Us/Por Todo Nuestro Alrededor, winner of multiple accolades, including an American Indian Youth Literature Honor Award. Where Wonder Grows, her sophomore collaboration with muralist Adriana Garcia, is forthcoming in 2020 by Cinco Puntos Press. Xelena’s storytelling skills were honed as a children’s librarian in San Antonio & in Guangzhou, China. Her recent independent release, Loteria Remedios, re-imagines the iconography of the traditional Mexican card game through the lens of visionary fiction.
